Alex is gearing himself up to eat this horribly HOT pepper. He was a brave Macho Man but sheer determination and will power couldn't stop his eyes from watering. He drank a half gallon of milk to stop the burn and still complained for two hours. Being tough isn't all it's cracked up to be huh Alex...... we had to laugh.

Canning is labor intensive but ALWAYS rewarding. Our family decided we would try planting a garden again this year. We canned salsa and tomatoes while Amy and David learned the tricks of the trade.
