Good-bye to Historical Mckinley School
Tremonton City Burned down the Old Mckinley School this week. Earlier this year a small earth-quake damaged the building. I have never seen a fire this big it was kind of amazing. I was taking the Residents of the Care Center on a Van Ride when we saw the fire. Many of the Residents actually attended this school in their youth. In recent years it housed a small museum and the senior citizen center. It will be odd not to see that old school anymore.

USU Hockey Club .....go go Aggies
Tess is an old dear friend I adore. We enjoyed a Hockey Game together in Ogden UT and cheered on the winning team. Utah State University Hockey Club is doing well and I wish them the best season ever. Thanks Tess for inviting me to the game I had great fun.
Why am I the only cold one? Rhonda's husband is assistant coach for the team. USU played Weber State in Ogden. They won 6-2 USU plays Hockey much better than they play Football. LOL It is definitely worth watching.
We never forget our roots. I Love CANADA......
I forgot how much fun it is to go to a LIVE Hockey game. These guys were my favorite players. I am going to follow these games in the next few months. So far they haven't lost a game and in my opinion it's because eleven of the team members are Canadian. We all know Canada has the best hockey teams in the world. Well at least I think so.......
Ladies Game Night - BuNCo and PoKeNo
Here is part of our pokeno group. Not every one could attend our little night away but we had loads of fun anyway.
Pokeno is just like Bingo. A group of ladies from my ward/church get together and play once a month. Leslie and Alicia are holding up the cards we play on. This month we went up to Leslies logde in Lava Hot Springs. After we played the game we went down to the river to sit in the Hot Springs. I found the water to be incredibly hot but very relaxing. We enjoyed a movie (a chick flic of course)after we got back. It was just like a grown up slumber party with games, food, fun and lots of laughs.
Once a month I go and play Bunco with a group of ladies in my town. It is a nice break and a chance to have some fun with friends. Thanks for the GOOD TIMES.

Alex is a DAD for two days.
Alex brought home this robotic baby today from school. He has to take care of this baby for two days. It cries, wets, and eats just as a baby would. Alex wears an electronic braclet that records what he does or doesn't do in the caring for the baby. He is graded by the data this bracelet records. Technology is amazing isn't it.
Doesn't Alex look cute. It's kinda fun to imagine him someday being a father. This exercise is giving him a good taste of parenthood. Hopefully he is learning the awesome respondsibility it is to be a parent and will make wise choices. There is a time and season for all things.
These babies are amazing, they need feeding, burping, changing, and if you don't gently hold its head correctly it starts to cry.
Alex is taking very seriously his role in taking care of this baby. He is wrapping it up before placing it back in the carrier. I am anxiously anticipating tonight when the baby wakes up crying in the night. I wonder how fun it will be then. Should I be a good Grandma and let Alex get his rest? Ahhhh......I don't think so. LOL

TIME OUT for women
I have been anxiously awaiting this event for about six months. I heard it was excellent and was not disappointed. The theme was A Joyful Life. Every talk, every musical number, and every moment was perfect. I am filled and blessed to have been there.
I died and went to Heaven. This is Jim Farrell the author of the book "The Peacegiver" and the "Holy Secret". He was the keynote speaker and his talk was as amazing as his books. He has a firm handshake and his eyes are full of truth and light. I felt privileged to meet him and only wish he could know the impact and transforming influence his book has had on my life. If you haven't read "The Peacegiver " you are missing out on a life altering experience.

Hi Ho, Hi Ho it's off to work I go!
I work in a Long Term Care Facility. My job involves coordination of activities and implementing them. Diane Cooper on the left is the other activities worker at BRVCC. We had a Hawaiin Family Luau today at the Care Center. Roberta Fronk pictured in the the middle is one of our volunteers that comes and entertains our residents weekly. She is almost the age of some of our residents but comes faithfully dressed to the nines with three inch heels and sings her heart out in a sing-a-long with old time songs and favorites. She comes along with several other volunteers who play a variety of instruments to make the band. Sing-a-long is by far the most favorite activity among the residents. Today for the Luau they all dressed the part and sang hawaiian songs and danced the hula. It was a great success. I thank Heavenly Father for those volunteers that so willingly give of their time to serve others and help make my job just a little easier.
Ed is one of our residents sons. Besides his mother he is the only remaining member of his family. His father and two brothers have died in tragic accidents. He lives in Salt Lake and faithfully comes to see his mother every week without fail. The best part of my job is being able to see the devotion and love of family.

Reaping what we have Sown.
Amy is trying to be a good sport. Click on the picture and read her apron and you will get the gist of what I am saying. We got alot done working together, even David helped with the process. Many hands make light work..
Alex is gearing himself up to eat this horribly HOT pepper. He was a brave Macho Man but sheer determination and will power couldn't stop his eyes from watering. He drank a half gallon of milk to stop the burn and still complained for two hours. Being tough isn't all it's cracked up to be huh Alex...... we had to laugh.
